PLACEMENT OF ORTHODONTIC MICROIMPLANTS<\/h2>\n\t \n\t \n\t \t
During orthodontic therapy, there may be a need to introduce additional anchorage points into the bone, called microimplants, which enable effective and precise movement of specific teeth or groups of teeth without putting unnecessary strain on the remaining teeth in the arch. They are also used in cases of missing teeth, as without them, the treatment would not be possible at all. Microimplants are inserted temporarily, only for the duration of the orthodontic treatment. The surgeon places them in the bone during a short procedure under local anesthesia.
